Job Summary
Lead and support Facilities Projects by developing mechanical engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for equipment acquisitions, renovations, and construction. Interface with A&E firms and contractors to review and approve construction documents, while maintaining as-built drawings and interpreting applicable codes. Manage project scope, schedule, and cost, generating and approving work authorizations and invoices. Support maintenance staff in troubleshooting technical issues for HVAC, plumbing, and process systems. Requires a California PE license, 9+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship only, no dual citizenship
- Knowledgeable of applicable Mechanical and Plumbing Building codes
- Knowledgeable of applicable industry standards (e.g. ASME/ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc)
- California State Licensed Professional Engineer – Mechanical Engineering
- High level of Safety and Customer focus
- Proficient in AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & MS Project
- Strong skills in leadership, teamwork, Risk and Opportunity Management, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, customer personnel, outside agencies, suppliers and others
- Ability to lead several projects and competing priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps), as well as a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer
- Bachelor's Degree
- minimum 9+ years of prior relevant experience
