Job Summary
Facilities Mechanic at TTM Technologies responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and physical structures. Essential duties include observing mechanical and electrical systems to locate issues, dismantling and inspecting parts, repairing or replacing defective components, installing functional parts, lubricating and cleaning, starting devices to test performance, operating metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) to fabricate/repair parts, repairing electrical equipment and wiring (110V, 208V, 277V), light plumbing and construction tasks (sinks, valves, pipe installations, painting, spackling of sheetrock), and responding to snow removals and building emergencies. Requires hard-won experience with mechanical/electrical systems, ability to troubleshoot heating, electrical, and plumbing problems, OSHA-10 certification (or ability to obtain within six months), and suitability for a manufacturing environment. Additional compliance items include ITAR/export-control awareness and eligibility considerations noted in the posting. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or vocational training
- Minimum of 4-8 years related experience
- Understanding commercial practices of running equipment
- Ability to trouble-shoot and repair various systems (i.e., heating, electrical, plumbing problems)
- Basic understanding of SDS (Safety Data Sheets)
- OSHA 10-hour course certification required or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment
