Facilities Master Carpenter

Job Summary
Provide top quality construction workmanship for new projects and renovations, executing skills ranging from wood/metal framing to drywall finishing, painting, cabinetry, roofing, and flooring. Assist with defining project scope, planning schedules, estimating costs, and acquiring bids while coordinating outside contractors and internal staff. Maintain excellent communication and customer service with both internal and external teams while reading construction drawings and using architectural CAD. Operate heavy machinery and power tools, frequently lifting up to 50 lbs, and work indoors using ladders and radio communication. This role supports the Facilities Construction Department within a collaborative, faith-based organization focused on telling stories through community service and teamwork.
Required Qualifications

- Confident, proactive, and responsive with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of architectural CAD drawing (used to define construction details and establish scope of materials for estimating and purchasing)
- Proficient use of computer (Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office / Word and Excel)
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Working knowledge of commercial facilities maintenance practices and procedures
- Must be able to be on your feet frequently
- Must be able to walk and stand regularly
- Must be able to consistently communicate with team members using a radio
- Must be able to work indoors
- Must be able to use ladders and other lift equipment
- Must be able to operate heavy machinery and power tools
- Must be able to frequently lift/exert up to 50 lb.s of force
- Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
- Must complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
