Job Summary
Oversee maintenance and repairs for electrical, mechanical, plumbing systems, and general facility upkeep across an assigned YMCA region. Direct and supervise housekeeping staff, negotiate vendor contracts, and conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, pressure cleaning, and exhaust fans. Implement workplace safety policies, manage severe weather preparation, and handle minor remodeling including drywall repair and cabinetry. Review facility checklists, order replacement parts, and meet weekly with supervisors to address repair requests and special projects. Ensure all vehicles undergo timely preventive maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience in construction, maintenance, and all facets of facility operation
- Specialized Knowledge of: Construction i.e.: Framing, drywall, flooring, finishing, roofing, locksmith task etc.
- Plumbing (General working knowledge of all aspects of plumbing issues in a corporate building.) i.e., sinks, Faucet, toilet, etc.
- Electrical i.e., Ballast repairs, maintain on building lighting system, cable management etc.
- HVAC
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office and general computer knowledge
- Valid Driver's License
- Three (3) years clean motor vehicle record with annual updates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions
- Ability to work with APMD to prioritize maintenance requests
- Ability to supervise and direct a small team
- Knowledge of building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their application
- Employment is contingent upon completing required Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
- CPR and First Aid Certifications required
- Annual Completion of YMCA Blood Borne Pathogens Training
- Annual Completion of YMCA Child Sexual Abuse Prevention class
- Staff Safety Requirements/Cleaning Protocols
