Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems while supervising housekeeping staff and custodial teams. Negotiate vendor contracts, oversee repairs for minor remodeling including drywall and cabinetry, and ensure premises remain clean and safe. Manage severe weather preparation, order replacement parts, and review facility checklists to address open repair requests. Transport office equipment and ensure vehicle preventive maintenance is completed timely. Meet weekly with supervisors to prioritize maintenance needs and implement workplace safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Experience in construction, maintenance, and all facets of facility operation
- Specialized Knowledge of: Construction i.e.: Framing, drywall, flooring, finishing, roofing, locksmith task etc.
- Plumbing (General working knowledge of all aspects of plumbing issues in a corporate building.) i.e., sinks, Faucet, toilet, etc.
- Electrical i.e., Ballast repairs, maintain on building lighting system, cable management etc.
- HVAC
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office and general computer knowledge
- Valid Driver's License
- Three (3) years clean motor vehicle record with annual updates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions
- Ability to work with APMD to prioritize maintenance requests
- Ability to supervise and direct a small team
- Knowledge of building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their application
- Employment is contingent upon completing required Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
- CPR and First Aid Certifications required
- Annual Completion of YMCA Blood Borne Pathogens Training
- Annual Completion of YMCA Child Sexual Abuse Prevention class
- Staff Safety Requirements/Cleaning Protocols
