Job Summary

Lead day-to-day facilities operations across the London office, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient environment for employees and visitors. Line manage the London facilities team, overseeing objective setting, daily guidance, and performance management. Coordinate maintenance and testing of critical infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, cooling infrastructure, and building management systems while supporting incident response for facilities-related outages. Manage hard and soft facility services such as mechanical/electrical systems, HVAC, cleaning, security, and health and safety compliance. Lead office fit-outs, refurbishments, and expansions projects, managing budgets, procurement, and contractor performance. Collaborate with vendor teams to negotiate contracts, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous service improvement. Ensure adherence to UK Health and Safety legislation, fire safety, and business continuity arrangements. Partner with HR and senior leadership to champion employee wellbeing and workplace engagement programs.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years' facilities management experience
  • depth of experience in mission-critical or high-complexity environments
  • 3 years' + experience in leading a facilities team
  • Experience within financial services, trading firms, technology companies, data centres, or mission-critical environments
  • Strong understanding of hard services and technical building infrastructure
  • Proven experience managing third-party vendors and service contracts
  • Demonstrated delivery of office relocations, fit-outs, or major capital projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • Problem-solving and analytical capability
  • Crisis management and decision-making under pressure
  • Technical understanding of critical infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or equivalent)
  • IWFM Level 5 or Level 6
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely
  • Prince2, PMP, or similar project management certification
