Job Summary
Oversee shipyard facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure full operational alignment with daily production needs. Prioritize work with Operations and Project Managers to remove obstacles and maintain yard flow, while managing the fleet of vehicles and equipment including licensing and maintenance. Rapidly identify and resolve issues impacting production schedules or safety, and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth execution. Develop preventative maintenance programs, manage waste removal and cleanliness, and lead capital improvement projects to optimize yard layout and workflow. Serve as the primary contact for facilities vendors and enforce site organization standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, Operations Supervisor, or similar role
- Experience supervising or directing labor teams
- Ability to act independently with limited supervisory oversight
- Ability to work in shipyard production areas and waterfront environments
- Ability to walk long distances, navigate uneven surfaces, and climb ladders or gangways
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands and arms
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Availability for extended hours or weekend work as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or shipyard environments
- Forklift Certification
