Job Summary
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of the facility, grounds, and production equipment while ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, prioritize daily work for facilities personnel, and coordinate contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Provide technical guidance to staff, monitor operations for improvement opportunities, manage maintenance budgets and inventory, and maintain accurate documentation of all activities. Participate in emergency preparedness efforts and collaborate with internal departments to resolve maintenance issues promptly. This hands-on role supports production efficiency within a mid-size electronics manufacturing services provider in Melbourne, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma with 10 years' experience or an Associate's Degree with 5 years experience in related field
- Minimum of 7–10 years of facilities or maintenance experience, including hands-on work with building and production equipment
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and external service providers
- Working knowledge of environmental and safety regulations
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance expertise
- Effective leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a small team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of local suppliers, vendors, and service providers
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be available for occasional evening or weekend work
