Job Summary
Oversee facilities management and maintenance for a non-residential campus, including maintenance and repair, custodial services, building safety, grounds, and grounds functions such as landscaping, snow removal, and irrigation. Coordinate work of employees and outside contractors for plumbing, heating, electric, refrigeration, air conditioning, construction projects, and motor pool vehicles. Manage campus utility and energy management systems, web-based work order systems, and campus safety and security protocols. Develop and administer the campus facilities budget, purchase equipment, maintain inventory, and manage safety and compliance matters including OSHA requirements. Direct, schedule, and provide after-hours emergency on-call services, while participating in campus committees for contract negotiations and facility planning. Perform maintenance, grounds, and custodial duties as needed, including trash removal and setting up classrooms or events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and one year related experience
- Associate's Degree and three years related experience
- High School Degree/GED and five years related experience
- Equivalent education and experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position
- Valid Colorado Driver License
- Other required credentials/licenses
- Commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
- Successful completion of a background check including motor vehicles records check
- Ability to perform assigned duties within the State of Colorado
- Ability to accurately report work location at all times
- Ability to perform evening, weekend and holiday hours
- Ability to perform on-call duty as required
