Job Summary
Manage the overall operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facility assets, building systems, and support services across assigned locations. Oversee physical plant operations, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, contractor performance, safety compliance, and capital improvement initiatives. Conduct routine inspections, develop scopes of work, negotiate service agreements for HVAC, electrical, and janitorial services, and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and local building codes. Monitor operating expenses, review invoices, utilize CMMS for asset tracking, and coordinate improvement projects from planning through completion. Partner with Operations, Safety, Finance, and external vendors to support business continuity and optimize facility performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive facilities management experience in manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or multi-site environments
- Demonstrated experience managing facility operations, vendor relationships, maintenance programs, and capital improvement projects
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural systems, and building automation controls
- Experience managing service contracts, vendor performance, and contractor compliance
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and facility-related regulatory standards
- Experience developing and administering operating and capital budgets
- Proficiency with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and external service providers
- Valid Driver's License
