Job Summary
Oversee maintenance operations for student accommodation campuses, including planning, budgeting, scheduling and execution of preventative and service programs; manage a maintenance team (>5 employees); administer daily room and communal area maintenance, stock control and procurement; oversee service providers and contractors; plan inspections and manage SLA; participate in on-duty roster; ensure high-quality facilities and guest experience; collaborate with Community Management to enhance the student experience; hands-on leadership to deliver efficient operations and cost control; strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; self-starter who can work independently and in a team; focus on service quality, safety, and hospitality-oriented maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- 3 plus years experience in overseeing the maintenance function
- Experience managing a team of greater than 5 employees
- 2-year technical degree or 4-year college degree preferred
- Excellent communication, organization and writing skills
- Proven Team Player ability to work with a team and achieve daily and monthly goals
- Self-starter able to identify work that needs to be done and does it without required instruction
- Courteous and professional able to perform tasks at hand when guests are onsite
- Detail oriented pays attention to details regarding processes and extra attention to special requests
- Ability to solve practical problems using reasoning skills
- Desire to learn and seek new challenges.
