Job Summary
Facilities Manager responsible for maintenance of all areas of The Sanford Center, leading the Maintenance Crew and trade contractors. Key duties include supervising HVAC and related system operations, managing Building Management System (BMS) for energy efficiency, operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, environmental controls, and lighting systems, training maintenance personnel, tracking maintenance data, hiring and supervising staff, and coordinating project management as assigned by the GM/Director of Operations. Requires strong communication, safety adherence, ability to work flexible hours, and the capacity to work with a diverse team during large public events. Emphasizes leadership, planning, and coordination with clients, exhibitors, and patrons, along with supporting preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- AA Degree in HVAC or related subjects preferred
- Experience in similar facility preferred
- Ability to manage complex logistics in support of large, public events
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Proficiency with general office PC applications
Additional Requirements
- Must be age 18 or older
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work inside or outside environments as necessary
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
