Job Summary
Facilities Manager responsible for day-to-day operations of industrial spaces (office, production, manufacturing, testing support) in Costa Mesa, CA. Lead/mechanically integrate MEP scope, manage capital projects end-to-end from pre-construction to handover, coordinate with equipment owners for moves and workflow optimization, oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs, develop and maintain SOPs/documentation, manage facilities staff, collaborate with EHS for safety/compliance, maintain HVAC, fire suppression, plumbing, water tanks, emergency generators, and general infrastructure, and support Workplace Manager to ensure seamless facility operations while aligning with senior leadership to foster a professional, customer-focused culture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of related experience supporting managing day-to-day operations and projects for the aerospace, defense, automotive or other types of manufacturing facilities
- Demonstrated experience managing people and vendors
- Strong knowledge of Asset Life Cycle and budgeting
- Technical training in plant engineering or maintenance, or comparable professional experience
- Proficient in CMMS and ERM software
- Experience managing budgets for preventative and corrective maintenance programs
- Knowledge of operating and maintaining forklifts, aerial man lifts, gantry and overhead cranes and hoists
- Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems; Certified Facility Manager credentials are a plus
- Knowledge of EHS in a facility
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to initiate, plan and manage projects; ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions
- Independent worker who can handle ambiguity and drive to outcomes with minimal oversight
- Attention to detail and 100% compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Ability and willingness to handle emergencies outside of normal working hours
- Physical capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations, applicable building codes, NFPA, and NEC
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
