Job Summary
Conduct daily equipment checks, replace HVAC filters and light bulbs, and perform maintenance and repair on airport buildings focusing on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Clean and restore airport facilities and equipment rooms as required, assist other departmental personnel in building equipment maintenance, and execute snow removal operations using motor vehicles and snowplows. Operate aerial work platforms, forklifts, and power sewer snakes while adhering to all Authority policies and guidelines. Requires a valid driver's license meeting specific DMV standards, high school graduation, and minimum two years of general building maintenance experience. Full-time 40-hour 3rd shift rotation from 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM with two permanent days off.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Trade school or equivalent
- Minium 2 years' experience general building maintenance
- Knowledge and ability to use power and hand tools
- Knowledge of practices and materials used in building maintenance
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Detail Oriented
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Must meet NAA driving record requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
- Successful completion of both pre-employment written examination and physical agility testing
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, push, pull, stand, and walk extensively
- Must be able to climb ladders with tools
- Must be able to reach overhead
- Must be able to lift, and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in awkward positions
- Must be able to read blueprints and computer printouts
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be licensed for at least 3 years
- Must have the type of license required by their state for the vehicles operated
- License is active and NOT suspended
- No Felony with a Motor Vehicle in the most recent 3-year period
- No DWI/DUI in the most recent 3-year period
- No Drug Offense in the most recent 3-year period
- No Eluding a Police Officer in the most recent 3-year period
- No Foreign citizens with no historical driving record available to us
- No Hit Run / Leaving the Scene of an accident in the most recent 3-year period
- No Lending an Operator's License or Registration to Another
- No Open Container Violation
- No Passing a Stopped School Bus
- No Racing or Speed Contest Violation
- No Reckless Driving
- No Speeding 25 mph, or more, above speed limit
- No Suspended License History (3 or more license suspensions as a result of moving violations)
- No Temporary Operator's Permit
- No Two or more at fault accident convictions
- No Vehicle Manslaughter/Homicide
- No Three or more moving violations within the past 12 months
