Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct facilities maintenance and repairs covering plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and machine servicing. Assist with preventive maintenance, inspect buildings and equipment for repairs, and replace light bulbs or report electrical conditions. Perform general manual labor including loading, unloading, and moving materials while maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas; empty trash bins and maintain outside grounds. Complete work requests as assigned and follow all safety procedures. Requires one year of facilities experience, high school diploma, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Stable schedule with health, dental, and vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- one (1) years of experience in the facilities field or in a related area
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical ability
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move about frequently and for extended periods of time
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally
- Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
- Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
