Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, systems, and building infrastructure. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks, including changing HVAC filters, servicing evaporative coolers, and monitoring steam generators. Assist with scheduling repairs, coordinating outside contractors, and supporting facility improvement projects. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and inventory of supplies and tools. Respond to facility maintenance requests and support troubleshooting of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Operate a forklift safely when required and participate in on-call or emergency response rotations. Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions
- May require occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- May require standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods
- Participation in an on-call or emergency response rotation may be required
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, equipment maintenance, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
