Job Summary
Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding trades. Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine necessary repair work and prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines using hand and power tools while interpreting blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications. May act as a team lead, delegate tasks to other team members, and review work product. Train, delegate, and review the work of lower-level employees while leading daily operations of a work team. This second-shift, Monday-Friday role is based onsite at the Memphis facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 5+ years of Facilities/Maintenance experience
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA requirements
- Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and communication
- Ability to be independently mobile
- Ability to interact with a computer
- Ability to communicate with peers and co-workers
Desired Qualifications
- Background in multiple maintenance trades (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding, or HVAC)
- Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for work orders, asset tracking, and maintenance documentation
- Experience troubleshooting automated or semi‐automated equipment
- Prior experience leading or mentoring maintenance technicians or acting as a lead
- Knowledge of continuous improvement or reliability initiatives
