Job Summary
On-site Facility Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Performs inspections, identifies and resolves maintenance concerns, completes work orders, maintains records, and supports safety, environmental compliance, and building operations. Requires hands-on, mechanically inclined, safety-focused approach, the ability to work independently, and effective communication with managers, team members, and contractors. Work primarily in Staunton, VA, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm, 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in general facility maintenance, building systems, or related technical work
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read technical documents, schematics, or maintenance instructions
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Basic computer proficiency including email and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using work order systems or CMMS software preferred
- Ability to use smartphones or tablets for maintenance applications and communication
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment
- Ability to wear required PPE and work in a manufacturing or industrial environment
