Facilities Maintenance Technician II (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, and installation on production equipment, physical plant systems, and machinery while ensuring product safety and quality. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replace components like motors and bearings, and operate fabrication tools including mills, lathes, and welding equipment. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance using ultrasonic testing and vibration analysis, execute facility tasks such as carpentry and boiler maintenance, and work with PLCs, HVAC, and fire protection systems. Operate powered lifts with a valid driver's license and MVR. This 2nd shift role supports the Maintenance Department at our Winston-Salem, NC manufacturing facility, where continuous learning through the RISE development program drives career growth.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical skills
- Electrical skills
- Welding skills
- Carpentry skills
- Must be able to operate a motorized powered lift i.e. Forklift, Scissor lift, one man lift, etc.
- An MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) will determine an employee's eligibility to operate these lifts
- A Valid driver's license
- 4-8 years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers
- Manual dexterity required
- Must be able to lift heavy loads (implied by 'Heavy lifting' in physical demands)
- Must be able to bend (implied by 'bending' in physical demands)
- Must be able to crawl (implied by 'crawling' in physical demands)
- Must be able to climb (implied by 'climbing' in physical demands)
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment (implied by 'Work Environment' section)
- Must be able to wear hearing protection in some areas (implied by 'Noise levels are considered low to moderate, with some areas requiring hearing protection')
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology/Mechatronics
- Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics
- HVAC training /experience/ education
- Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or other regulatory experience
- Food manufacturing or packaging experience
- Experience with blending equipment, batching operation systems
