Job Summary
Facilities Maintenance Technician I at Villa Sport maintains and repairs club facilities and equipment to ensure safety and quality standards, supporting the Facilities Director and Maintenance Technician II. Responsibilities include completing assigned repair and maintenance projects on time, following safety procedures, minimizing impact on members and guests, and maintaining fully operational facilities. Weekend availability is required. Qualifications emphasize safe tool use, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, prior handyman/repair experience (2+ years), and ability to read and follow instructions. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- At least 2 years in a handyman or repair technician role with exposure to different types of equipment and systems
- Able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of safe and proper use of tools, machinery, cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Pool experience and fitness equipment repair a plus
- Able to read, understand and follow checklists, project instructions, and the directions on the equipment and chemicals used in performing duties
- Able to follow instructions to completion
- CPO certificate is a plus but not required
