Job Summary
Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections and repairs across branch locations and headquarters. Respond to work orders resolving facility issues related to building systems, lighting, plumbing, furniture, and general maintenance. Conduct minor plumbing repairs, unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and maintaining restroom and breakroom facilities. Assist with HVAC preventive maintenance, including filter replacements, vent cleaning, and basic system upkeep. Perform painting, patching, caulking, and cosmetic repairs to maintain professional standards. Replace lamps, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, ballasts, and other building components. Support office moves, furniture assembly, space reconfigurations, and equipment setup. Conduct site safety and compliance inspections, documenting findings, and escort vendors to monitor service completion. Maintain facility supply inventory and organize storage areas. Perform general labor tasks including lifting, carrying, cleaning, organizing, debris removal, and site cleanup. Install signage, artwork, hardware, and other facility-related items.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational training, trade school coursework, or certifications related to facilities maintenance, construction, or building operations
- Three or more years of experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, construction, handyman work, general maintenance, or a related field
- Experience working with basic plumbing, lighting, painting, HVAC maintenance, and general building repairs
- Experience with work order systems and MS Office programs
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to perform physical work including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Sound judgment and commitment to workplace safety
- Strong organization and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, members, vendors, and contractors
- Pre-employment screenings, including background and credit checks
