Facilities Maintenance Technician, Full-time

Job Summary
Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on buildings, grounds, and systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, doors, and fixtures. Independently troubleshoot issues, determine solutions, and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs. Maintain detailed logs for equipment such as generators, oxygen systems, and sewage pumping units while conducting regular facility walkthroughs to identify safety concerns. Safely use hand and power tools, perform basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs, and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support. Work independently with limited supervision while communicating risks to management and maintaining patient confidentiality. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active NC Drivers License
- Experience in building, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, including coordinating warranty issues with vendors and internal staff
- Sensory abilities sufficient to meet communication and documentation requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to safely climb and use ladders
Desired Qualifications
- Maintenance experience in a medical, hospice, or other regulated facility preferred
- Experience with oxygen systems, generators, and sewage pumping systems preferred
- Completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship or technical training program preferred
