Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting while conducting regular facility inspections to identify and address needs. Respond promptly to work orders for daily repairs such as changing light bulbs, drywall work, and structural elements, alongside cleaning and maintaining building interiors, exteriors, grounds, and machinery. Monitor tool and supply inventory, coordinate with vendors for specialized services, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Maintain accurate records of activities and support emergency response efforts for power outages or weather-related damage. Work independently in dynamic indoor and outdoor environments, occasionally working evenings or weekends, while adhering to strict safety protocols and attendance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in general building maintenance or a related field
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of computers, software programs, and email communication
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen to the satisfaction of the organization
