Job Summary
Facilities & Maintenance Technician-2 responsible for monthly preventive maintenance and inspections of facility equipment across facilities; troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical issues on production equipment, install/repair/replace components, and work with outside contractors as needed. Performs general maintenance, supports other departments/engineers, plans and executes work orders independently, and develops new process technologies of small-to-moderate scope. May train associates on production equipment, identify electrical issues, and conduct unsupervised facility walkthroughs to monitor conditions. Requires strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge, CMMS/building automation familiarity, and a safety/regulatory-conscious approach. Works collaboratively in a team environment while ensuring quality and compliance with FDA regulations and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- 7 years of maintenance experience in industrial/ manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of refrigeration and mechanical systems; HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic & hydraulic systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills; basic electrical knowledge
- Proficiency with CMMS and building automation systems preferred
- Knowledge of basic computer and Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work independently; capable of training others; ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to identify electrical issues in systems or equipment; participate in preventive maintenance and inspections
- Experience coordinating with outside contractors and procuring parts/services
- Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of complex maintenance tasks and modify standard techniques as needed
