Job Summary
Maintain the safety, appearance, and functionality of Anderson Center for Autism's campus grounds through daily groundskeeping, landscaping, and seasonal operations including snow removal and storm cleanup. Operate tools and equipment safely to complete assigned work orders while performing preventive maintenance on outdoor spaces, walkways, and campus infrastructure. Identify hazards, communicate concerns to supervisors, and collaborate with Quality Assurance and Operations teams to ensure regulatory compliance and equipment readiness. Document all activities accurately and support the maintenance of water, wastewater, and irrigation systems as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, campus maintenance, property maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction support, or a related field
- Experience operating lawn equipment, power tools, tractors, snow removal equipment, or related maintenance equipment
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and general repair techniques
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move equipment and materials required to perform maintenance activities
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to satisfy agency driving requirements
- A strong work ethic and a genuine sense of pride in maintaining beautiful, safe outdoor environments
- Reliability, initiative, and a willingness to jump in wherever support is needed
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to identify and address maintenance concerns
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with teammates
