Job Summary
Facilities Maintenance Tech I responsible for cleaning and caring for County buildings, related grounds and equipment; performs custodial tasks, maintains buildings, mows lawns, trims shrubbery, treats lawns for weeds, sets up tables/chairs for meetings and jury trials, maintains inventory of paper products, operates janitorial equipment, and assists the Building Maintenance Technician and Supervisor on projects; works around inmates in the Department of Corrections; adheres to laws and policies while prioritizing multiple duties with minimal supervision; requires strong communication, problem solving, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret safety and operation manuals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to be fingerprinted and pass a background check
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of cleaning materials, methods and practices used in custodial tasks
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions
