Job Summary
Facilities Maintenance Team Leader responsible for coordinating and executing facility maintenance, repairing and improving projects, leading a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring safety, regulatory, and operational standards. Key duties include supervising technicians, prioritizing multiple projects, developing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating maintenance requests and emergencies, conducting inspections, overseeing HVAC/plumbing/electrical/building and grounds maintenance, managing vendor bids and outside contractors, performing ROI analyses, maintaining maintenance records and inventory, monitoring budgets, implementing safety protocols, and collaborating with operations, safety, and procurement to support company goals. Requires leadership experience, strong knowledge of building systems, and proficiency with maintenance management tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or training preferred.
- Five plus years of experience in facilities maintenance, with 5 plus years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities; proactive in identifying and addressing maintenance issues.
- Solid organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to facility maintenance.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
