Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance operations for parking garages, surface lots, and access areas by inspecting facilities, assigning work orders, and tracking task completion. Supervise, train, and evaluate the maintenance team while maintaining inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment. Respond to emergencies involving equipment failures, spills, accidents, or hazardous conditions, and coordinate with operations, security, and property management to minimize service disruptions. Maintain department records, prepare incident reports, and ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable laws. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, including on-call shifts for emergencies. Requires a valid Michigan Driver's License and experience in parking services or facilities maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of Associate Degree or Technical Training Certification
- 2-years' experience involving parking services or facilities maintenance
- one year supervisory/management capacity experience
- Ability to use maintenance management software and/or basic computer programs
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- effective human relations and conflict resolution skills
- readiness to undertake position responsibilities on one's own
- ability to work independently
- Ability to read, understand, and convey technical documents
- working evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts for emergencies
- valid Michigan Driver's License
- good driving record
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
