Job Summary
Maintenance Painter duties include hand-brush, roll and spray painting of hospital buildings, areas, equipment and furniture; determine sequences of paint operations, assess scaffolding/rigging needs, estimate materials and time; apply decorative/protective finishes to office furniture; read/measures from mechanical drawings and repair manuals; use hand and power tools; cross-trained in building trades; must work evenings/holidays; requires High School Diploma or GED and pass background checks; eligible for employment at The University of Kansas Health Systems via P1 Service, LLC.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years’ work knowledge of building maintenance or painting
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and repair manuals
- Cross trained in building trades
- Able to pass criminal background check and drug screening
