Job Summary
Perform building repair, remodel workspaces, and maintain grounds, machinery, vehicles, and aerospace ground equipment with limited supervision. Execute preventative maintenance on golf carts, forklifts, and industrial tools; operate floor scrubbers; and manage snow removal and facility safety inspections. Maintain tools, report equipment needs, and assist the supervisor in training and mentoring team members. Complete initial and recurrent training requirements while adhering to company safety standards and policies. Occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent reading, writing and math abilities.
- 5+ years of experience in General / Facilities Maintenance Work.
- Proficient in the use of basic hand tools.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed.
- Read, write, and understand the English language.
- Ability to obtain a US Department of Transportation examiners certificate, if required.
- Occasional travel may be required; the employee filling this position must be willing to travel on short notice and possibly for extended periods.
Desired Qualifications
- Welding proficiency and experience preferred.
