Job Summary
Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and facility equipment; troubleshoot issues and support emergency repairs across departments; maintain clean, safe, and stocked workspaces; operate hand and power tools, lifts, and floor scrubbers; support preventive maintenance programs and assist with special projects; communicate with supervisors and team leads to prioritize tasks and report issues. Emphasis on hands-on problem solving, reading drawings/schematics, and ability to work independently on a 2nd shift at the Schofield facility.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, assembly instructions, and schematics
- Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and problem solve facility issues
- Must be able to perform math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions
- Able to accurately measure using a tape measure or other measuring equipment
- Previous experience in building construction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be highly motivated, self-directed and able to work independently
