Job Summary
Diagnose and address day-to-day maintenance repairs for museum assets, including electrical, plumbing, and construction equipment. Develop ongoing maintenance plans, ensure 100% health and safety compliance, and document detailed action plans for the Director of Facilities. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate special projects to improve facility infrastructure. Supervise facilities team members, assist with training, and provide on-site leadership during installations and resets. Complete daily reports, maintain building inspection records, and coordinate delivery shifts across all dayparts. Assist with production budgets, inventory control for tools and supplies, and support seasonal creative element installations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of facilities experience in technical/engineering operations, including team coordination
- Comfortable assisting with heavy equipment handling
- Ability to read and collaborate on projects designed with industry standard software and tools (i.e. CAD, 3D printing)
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual
- Meet all of the requirements of a Senior Facilities Technician
