Job Summary
Lead daily leadership and supervision of Facilities Maintenance Associates while managing all repairs, maintenance, renovations, and purchases for the Wildlife Care Center. Prioritize work requests, oversee HVAC, septic, and fire suppression systems, and manage service agreements for janitorial and landscaping. Plan budgets, schedule upgrades, and act as project manager for construction and installations. Hire, train, and supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, and propose safety improvements. Maintain licenses, ensure OSHA compliance, and manage vehicle and tool maintenance. Available for off-hours, weekends, and emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five 5 years professional experience and/or training
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean record to be insured with the organization's insurance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Upon hire, you must pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with construction coordination or construction background preferred
