Facilities Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Conduct routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and upkeep for greenhouse and warehouse facilities while ensuring optimal operational conditions and employee safety. Collaborate with the General Manager to identify issues, future projects, and operation efficiencies, and assist in developing new construction facility designs and improvements. Source parts and materials in conjunction with purchasing, negotiate competitive prices and terms, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Participate in accident investigations using 5-Why root cause analysis and lead safety meetings. Requires extensive greenhouse facilities experience, agriculture background, and skills in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and heating systems. Availability for extended hours is necessary when deadlines are met.
Required Qualifications
- extensive Horticultural and Greenhouse facilities maintenance experience
- Experienced with Greenhouse Facilities, structures, and systems
- General electrical, carpentry, plumbing, building construction and maintenance experience
- Heating Systems – installation and service and repair of boilers and heaters
- Detailed Oriented
- Availability to work extended hours to meet Deadline-driven when necessary
- Closed-toe shoes (Sneakers or boots)
- A back safety belt
- Gloves
- Eye Protection
- Approved Safety Cutter
- Appropriate clothing, following the company's dress code
