Facilities & Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

Supervise daily facilities maintenance across buildings, grounds, and site infrastructure while leading personnel and managing contractors. Develop preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, generators, and utility infrastructure. Oversee maintenance and vendor support for truck, rail, and floor scales to ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain facility grounds, traffic signage, safety markings, and exterior/interior lighting systems. Coordinate stormwater drainage, fire lane access, emergency exits, and rail infrastructure repairs. Plan painting projects and concrete repairs for roadways, equipment pads, and loading areas. Administer service contracts for janitorial, pest control, security, and utilities while monitoring performance and renewals. Manage work orders, contractor scheduling, inventory, budgets, and capital improvement projects in partnership with Operations, EHS, and Commercial teams. Requires 7+ years in facilities management, strong math skills, and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Facilities Maintenance management
  • Strong understanding of commercial/industrial buildings, utilities, concrete, fencing, lighting, drainage systems, and contractor management
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time
  • Must have strong cross-functional coordination and customer service
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Must display strong motivation and resourcefulness; be self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 75% of the time
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing budgets, service contracts, and capital projects preferred
  • Experience with a maintenance management systems preferred
  • Regulatory compliance experience
  • Safety leadership
