Job Summary
Oversee and manage the entire facility, compressors, vacuum systems, HVAC infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment while driving maintenance technicians across four shifts to ensure operational readiness. Prepare and execute maintenance budgets, manage spare parts inventories, and utilize lean thinking and TPM principles to streamline workflows and minimize downtime. Provide daily workload scheduling, conduct pass-down reporting, and interface with operations and EHS departments to maintain safety and quality objectives. Diagnose equipment failures, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and mentor maintenance technicians through technical training initiatives. Prepare presentations and reports detailing equipment operational availability and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Must either have a High School Diploma/Equivalent and 7 years of facilities maintenance experience; or Associate's degree and 4 years of facilities maintenance experience; or Bachelor's degree and 3 years of facilities maintenance experience; or a Master's degree and 1 year of facilities maintenance experience
- In-depth hands-on knowledge of facilities and equipment maintenance and reliability services
- Solid understanding and experience in troubleshooting factory equipment, mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to prepare sound presentations and conduct meetings with the senior staff
- Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting, and working overhead
- Must be available for weekend shifts (Fri. Sat. Sun)
- 1st Shift availability (12 hours)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in lean manufacturing and maintenance systems
- Experience in aerospace industry
- Experience working in high-rate manufacturing facilities operating on a 24/7 schedule
- Basic understanding of carbon composite manufacturing
- Experience in automated industrial equipment such as storing, retrieving, forming, autoclave, conveyance, trim, inspections, and CNC machining centers
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams with diverse maintenance/craft skills and backgrounds
- Hands-on experience/background in maintenance fields strongly preferred (Mechanic, Millwright, Pipefitter, HVAC background)
