Facilities & Maintenance Lead

Job Summary
Lead the maintenance team in performing day-to-day preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment while coordinating external contractors for facility upgrades. Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression, utilizing a CMMS to track work orders and equipment history. Troubleshoot complex malfunctions, support root cause analysis efforts, and manage critical spare parts inventory. Develop staff training on safe work practices and respond to emergency issues, supporting an on-call 24/7 rotation as needed. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of building infrastructure systems including HVAC, compressed air, water, and electrical distribution
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment specifications
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop technical staff
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic project management tools
- Successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo background checks including criminal records check and education

- Experience in maintenance, manufacturing
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing industrial machinery
- Experience with Robotic Automation & PLCs, Control Schematics
- Scissor Lift experience
