Job Summary
Maintains grounds within Anchorage School District facilities and assists in tasks such as snow removal, landscaping with a riding lawn mower, repairing/installing signs and fences, and maintaining concrete/asphalt. Works under supervision, follows established safety procedures, collaborates with others, and may work at heights over 10 feet. Proficient in using computer applications for writing reports and other responsibilities; requires ability to read/write English and adapt to a dynamic school environment.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent, or current enrollment in a GED program.
- A minimum of one year of experience within the past three years in the operation of grounds maintenance equipment.
- Experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance.
- Must possess a current Alaska driver's license.
- Must obtain an Alaska class B commercial driver's license with air brake endorsement within 6 months of hire.
- Must complete the general knowledge test within 14 days of hire.
- Conditional offer of employment contingent upon successfully passing a post offer/pre-employment physical capacities assessment.
