Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day facility operations at a large technology distributor's warehouse, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance while driving operational efficiency. Responsibilities include estimating labor/material costs for facility projects, managing end-to-end construction/repair work, coordinating with vendors, and guiding junior facilities staff. Requires hands-on maintenance across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep, adherence to building codes and environmental standards, and a focus on sustainability initiatives and cost-effective improvements. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 8+ years of facilities experience are required, with strong project management and communication skills and the ability to work independently on-site.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of facilities management or maintenance experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a facilities-specific role
- Hands-on expertise across multiple trades including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
- Proven ability to estimate project costs, manage vendor contracts, and oversee construction or repair projects end-to-end
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance standards
- Experience developing and implementing sustainability initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce resource consumption
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results with limited oversight
- Strong communication and influencing skills — able to work across functions and present recommendations to leadership
- Formal training or certifications in one or more skilled trades is a plus
