Facilities Maintainer

Job Summary
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks including painting, plastering, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical work, and snow removal as directed by the Facilities Manager. Report unsafe or hazardous conditions and defective equipment immediately. Maintain daily and ongoing projects in a safe, orderly manner while adhering to agency policies on safety, medical waste, infection control, and exposure management. Anticipate needs based on weather conditions and department demands. Work with managers, employees, vendors, patients, and families while preserving confidentiality and complying with the Center's Code of Ethics. Requires a high school diploma, two years of building maintenance experience, and ability to work in all weather conditions while lifting heavy equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Minimum of two years experience in building maintenance and repair
- Knowledge and practice of preventative maintenance
- Awareness of necessary contracting agencies utilized by CFHHPC
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, snow, etc.
- Must be able to safely lift, push, pull and move heavy equipment and supplies
- Must be familiar with cleaning and decontamination procedures
- Preserve confidentiality in all matters at all times
- Support the Mission
- Comply with the Center's Code of Ethics
- Demonstrates flexibility in responding to job assignments based on Agency needs
- Actively exhibits desire and ability to learn new skills
