Job Summary
Execute hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting for building infrastructure, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Conduct daily facility walks to verify critical system operation and perform inspections. Manage facility projects including renovations and equipment installations while ensuring OSHA and EPA compliance through regular audits. Coordinate vendor relationships for contracted services and respond promptly to emergency situations, alarms, and equipment breakdowns. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and permits. Work 90% of the time on technical tasks with 10% dedicated to workflow coordination and team support. Requires an AAS degree and 5+ years of industrial experience. Available for off-shifts and on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Facilities Maintenance Technology, Facilities Maintenance Technician, or an equivalent Trade Certificate (preferred)
- 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in and around machinery, including at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Willingness to be available on off-shifts or on-call as required
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of building systems, industrial equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA)
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems maintenance and operation
- Ability to lead a small team, distribute work fairly and ensure adequate training and personnel development of the facilities team
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Develop and maintain strong internal/external relationships
- Competence in problem solving, planning, and decision making
