Facilities Lead (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Monitor and lead daily contractor activities for janitorial duties, perform preventative and predictive maintenance on buildings, HVAC, and boilers, and conduct routine non-licensed inspections of fire equipment and facilities. Coordinate major repairs for mechanical systems, estimate labor and material costs for work orders, and maintain building maintenance logs and inventory control. Advise the manager on required major repairs and replacements while ensuring compliance with safety, fire protection, and facility standards. This role supports uninterrupted business operations at a 100K+ sq ft manufacturing facility in Carrollton, TX, with a focus on clean room maintenance and risk management.
Required Qualifications
- High school or tech school education
- 3 years of factory-related experience in a maintenance environment
- 8+ years of facility maintenance experience in facilities 100K sq/ft or larger preferably a manufacturing facility
- proficient knowledge in National and local building codes, regulations, etc.
- proficient knowledge in Building construction and maintenance procedures
- proficient knowledge in HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems
- proficient knowledge in Inspection procedures
- proficient knowledge in Workplace safety requirements and procedures
- proficient knowledge in Record keeping systems
- Ability to maintain buildings and facilities in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to operate required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Decision-making skills
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Ability to read and write to maintain daily logs
- Time management skills
- Experienced in obtaining/evaluating quotes received for bids on projects and managing external contractors
