Job Summary
Identify emerging facility needs, participation trends, and infrastructure gaps to inform future planning while maintaining and reviewing facility priorities, project pipelines, and investment opportunities. Build strong relationships with local governments, Member Associations, and State Government agencies to facilitate collaboration on shared-use opportunities and multi-sport infrastructure projects. Prepare briefing papers, grant applications, and funding proposals to support delivery of commitments secured through government election funding programs. Track project performance, expenditure, and return on investment while ensuring all initiatives align with local government asset management plans and legislative requirements. Represent the organization on the Netball Australia National Facilities Working Group to contribute to national strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Qualification in Project Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Sport Management, Community Development, Business or relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure Planning, Project Management, Community Development, Sport Administration or related field
- Strong understanding of local government planning processes, capital works programs and community infrastructure development
- Understanding facility management, venue development and lease negotiations
- Knowledge of government funding and election commitments processes
- Experience in preparing business cases, grant applications, funding submissions and advocacy materials
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the sport/not-for-profit industry
