Job Summary
Facilities Engineer role at Brakes (Sysco GB) overseeing maintenance and operation of site services across the Grantham site, with focus on efficiency and safety. Responsibilities include maintenance and contractor management, diagnosing faults, analyzing plant performance, and supporting improvement projects to enhance performance, equipment reliability and energy use. Candidate should have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline with FMCG or logistics experience, and hands-on experience with fire prevention, water, air, gas, refrigeration and electricity systems, loading bay/dock door equipment, plus project management (CDM, 5S, TPM), legislative and environmental standards, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, teamwork, and IT literacy (CMMS, Excel). Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- FMCG or logistics experience
- background in engineering or maintenance
- experience operating and maintaining fire prevention, water, air supply, gas supply, refrigeration and electricity systems
- experience with loading bay equipment and dock door systems
- project management experience (CDM, 5S and TPM)
- knowledge of legislative and environmental standards
- strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills
- good IT literacy, CMMS and Excel
