Job Summary
Facilities Engineer to oversee maintenance, performance, and continuous improvement of facility systems (power distribution, ultrapure water, exhaust, bulk gases, chilled water, process cooling) for a high-volume solar cell manufacturing facility. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams; develop preventative maintenance instructions; monitor utility systems supporting wet chemistry texturing, PECVD, PVD, metallization, and cleaning; perform failure analyses and corrective actions; interpret P&IDs, schematics, OEM manuals, and construction drawings; present performance statuses to internal customers; drive reliability, uptime, yield, and cost improvements in a fast-paced production environment; operate required lifting/equipment tasks and comply with safety and environmental regulations. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s in a related engineering field and 1+ years in a manufacturing facilities environment, with ~20% international travel, and ability to work in an industrial setting with tolerance for fumes/noise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or related engineering discipline
- 1+ years of professional experience in facilities engineering or sustaining engineering for a manufacturing environment (internship experience is applicable)
- Ability to travel internationally (20%)
- Must be able to stand up to 6 hours, lift up to 25 pounds unassisted, and maneuver around equipment in a factory setting
