Job Summary
Facilities Engineer at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (Los Angeles). Responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, fulfilling work orders for building and equipment systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues, conducting general rounds and inspections, completing safety and training programs, maintaining all areas of ownership in a safe manner, and coordinating with vendors. Additional duties involve assisting Senior Engineer, installing and maintaining electrical distribution, HVAC and environmental control systems, building automation systems (Metasys, Automated Logic), fire/life safety, access control, and other building infrastructure, along with supporting construction projects and ensuring compliance with safety requirements. Requires a High School diploma or GED and typically 5-6 years of related experience; familiarity with engineering drawings and building automation systems is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Typically 5-6 years of related experience
- Certification in trades preferred but not required
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics
- Basic to intermediate MS Office proficiency
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (e.g., Metasys and Automated Logic)
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify root causes
- Safety training completion as part of responsibilities
