Facilities Engineer II

Abbott is seeking a Facilities Engineer II who serves as a specialist individual contributor with limited supervision. You will apply engineering knowledge to facilities operations, maintenance, and project execution, lead small to mid-sized facility projects from planning through execution, design plant, office, and production equipment layouts for efficient operations and optimal utilization of space and equipment, and develop cost estimates, criteria, and performance specifications. You will prepare bid packages, scopes of work, and contracts, collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders for compliance and quality, and investigate unplanned facility events to implement corrective and preventive actions. Proficiency with AutoCAD and the ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural schematics are needed to meet operational requirements and regulatory codes.
