Job Summary
Facilities Engineer responsible for overseeing employee and visitor safety, building and grounds maintenance, repair and upgrades, and ensuring compliance with environmental, structural updates, and safety and health procedures relating to facility operations. The role involves project management of future facility upgrades, coordination of cleanroom temperature and humidity mapping and validation, coordinating building maintenance with external vendors, monitoring HVAC, overseeing building security with IT support, planning space and office-system installations, coordinating facility-related activities, developing emergency plans, ensuring regulatory compliance (FDA, OSHA, GMP/MDD, ISO), managing environmental concerns with state and city authorities, coordinating energy efficiency initiatives and cost-effectiveness, handling space planning for events, supervising facility maintenance technicians, and communicating updates to occupants while maintaining documentation including insurance and inspections. Continuous collaboration with multiple stakeholders and adherence to a regulated environment are emphasized. The base salary range is disclosed as $61,300.00 – $122,700.00.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or bachelor’s degree preferred with focus on business, technical or management areas
- Prior facility engineering or building management experience required
- Engineering degree preferred
- Interpersonal and human relationship skills; HR experience desired
- Ability to work within a regulated environment
- Working knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet
- Working knowledge of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of leases, contract and related documents
