Job Summary

Facilities Director responsible for multi-site leadership of facilities management and building operations across Intermountain Health. Oversees a business operation representing ~$15 million in annualized consumable spend and ~5,000,000 square feet of space. Develops and implements operational strategies, standardization, and compliance to improve value, quality of care, and efficiency. Coordinates with Construction, Capital Planning, Energy Management, and Sustainability to drive enterprise-wide facilities initiatives. Leads maintenance and facilities management functions, ensures CMS and Joint Commission alignment, manages budgets (including a centrally managed Building Operations and Maintenance budget and portions of the Maintenance Renewal capital budget), and communicates across region operations, finance, and corporate teams. Requires strong leadership, collaboration, and change-management skills, with regional travel as needed and the ability to adapt to healthcare operations. Includes participation in governance and best-practice initiatives, and a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Management, Construction Management or Engineering, with nine years of facilities management experience, seven of those years in a healthcare setting
  • Master's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, or Engineering Management, with seven years of multi-site facilities management experience in a healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated strong communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence across a varying range of personnel
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage large-scale operations
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and e-mail, and scheduling applications
  • Willing to travel regionally and throughout the Intermountain Healthcare system as needed
