Job Summary
Lead all Facilities Department operations across the 200,000+ square-foot Ascension St. John Sportsplex campus, overseeing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and athletic field systems. Develop comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, manage capital projects, and negotiate vendor contracts for all trades. Direct custodial services, grounds management, and team development while ensuring OSHA compliance and emergency preparedness. Maintain departmental budgets, track assets via CMMS, and produce operational reports to executive leadership. Available for on-call response to facility emergencies outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive facilities management experience
- Minimum three (3) years leading maintenance or operations teams
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple trades and vendors
- Strong knowledge of: HVAC
- Strong knowledge of: Plumbing
- Strong knowledge of: Electrical
- Strong knowledge of: Mechanical systems
- Strong knowledge of: Grounds management
- Strong knowledge of: Irrigation systems
- Strong knowledge of: Custodial operations
- Experience managing budgets and capital projects
- Valid driver's license
- Must be available to respond to facility emergencies outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and access mechanical spaces
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in sports complexes, universities, K–12 campuses, hospitals, or large multi-building facilities
- CMMS experience
- Building automation system experience
- OSHA certification
- CPR/AED certification
- Knowledge of synthetic turf and natural grass athletic field management
- Experience supporting high-volume sporting events
